Terms and Conditions: Weather
Modification
BATs services
offer supermarket-style simplicity to weather
modification purchasing. Simply click on the area and
service required, make the payment and operations will
commence within a few months. However the operator must
ensure that services can be performed within the legal
requirements of the local, State and Federal Government
regulations and is responsible for insurance coverage
and costs.
|
|
A purchase is a
decision to buy Augmet services subjects Briggs Aerospace
Technologies to costs from the submitted capital for said
services for the operator. Should Augmet services be terminated
prior to the final flight as notified by Briggs Aerospace
Technologies, operators will be refunded the unspent money plus
a cancellation fee to recoup all costs of withdrawal of services
and equipment from the nation, or other fees as decided by
Briggs Aerospace Technologies. This policy will be adhered to
should services be terminated for any reason by Briggs Aerospace
Technologies or at the request of the Government of the nation
where Augmet services are being conducted or other reason. |
|
|
Costs allow for 100% target zone coverage
with redundancy, for services only (no insurance).
|
| |
The operator is defined as the person or
group ordering weather modification services for their local
area. This person or group is responsible for obtaining all
local, State, and Federal Government approvals if applicable,
prior to ordering.
|
| |
The decision to purchase or not resides
entirely with the operator.
|
| |
Flights will not be flown in conditions
deemed unsafe by the pilot or BAT due to weather, safety or
other conditions.
|
| |
The operator has a right to make special requests or
recommendations but BAT has ultimate responsibility for services.
|
|
|
Operators
are responsible for any taxes upon Augmet services within their
nation and where the services will take place should this
differ. |
| |
Services may be suspended if the area to be
serviced becomes unsafe due to reason of conflict or other
situation that can affect the safety of crews.
|
| |
Crews will perform to obtain results to the
best of their ability.
|
| |
BAT will continue to retain all stock, such
as aircraft and equipment purchased with funds, from the initial
purchase order or subsequent purchases or contributions of any
kind from the operator to increase the efficiency of services
and enable funds for further research and development. Discounts
apply if services are requested in future. This improves the
quality of services to future customers.
|
| |
Several dispersants are offered, with the best for the local
climate to be selected by BAT or specified by the operator. The
expense of this material and variety of conditions means that
the 50 flights estimated will not always be possible. Operators
will be informed when such a situation is developing.
|
| |
No result guarantee applies: Data, graphs,
costs and figures provided on this site or other are for
indication purposes only.
|
| |
Services will improve with ongoing operations from ongoing
research; this applies particularly to the localised research
element of BAT services.
|
| |
Taxes,
Government fees and charges, and insurance costs are the
responsibility of the operator. The operator may be spared
taxation from its Government if aspects of disaster relief and
inherited economic benefits apply.
|
| |
The
operator must be responsible for all insurances involved
including accidental damage and full, comprehensive liability
coverage. BAT is not responsible for any accident, injury,
incident or death(s) occurring from operations.
|
| |
Should another BAT weather modification customer-operator be in
the proximity of the operator, BAT may use an aircraft
performing cloud seeding to another area, if it is deemed not
interfere with the quality of services. This can include down
time during research, post-flight debrief, and forensic periods.
|
| |
To provide the best service to the operator, because of the
expense of materials used to induce rain, sometimes aircraft
will not deploy dispersant, it will be conserved.
|
|
|
Personal information will be exchanged
with the Country of operation and any other relevant party
to ensure the
operator has correctly followed the purchase guidelines of
obtaining permission for Augmet services within the Country of
operation. |
| |
Note: it is BAT policy to retain
competitive prices that
no tender programs will be applied for.
If a potential customer wishes to have inferior quality cloud
seeding services, that is their choice. This avoids unnecessary
costs and wasted time, typical of bureaucratic process.

I/we accept
capital provided buys me, or my corporation, or my group with weather
modification services as requested, so long as permission from relevant
Government and other authorities and appropriate insurances are
obtained.
I/we accept BAT
and its assembled weather modification team will do the best job it
possibly can to provide the services as requested. I/we, as purchaser(s)
of weather modification for our area will accept full liability and
responsibility for any issues, including legal actions, complaints and
will hence be insured prior to purchasing BAT weather modification
services.
I/we
will address neighbouring councils and counties and issues of airspace
use will be lobbied for priority of operation to the best of our
ability, prior to commencement if required.
I/we understand
BAT services will be conducted at a graduating level of success, and
understand if results are not obvious it may mean meteorological
conditions have deteriorated. BAT can halt operations at anytime by
request.
I/we accept
that BAT and its crews have ultimate say when they can fly and their
right to conduct as safer, accurate flights as possible.
I/we fully
accept decisions on when and where to employ the weather modification
dispersants and how these decisions are made, even if it seems to go
against our general opinion or knowledge. I/we understand that we will
fully brief BAT weather modification personnel on any dispersants we
wish not to be used and any areas we wish to avoid overflights of prior
to operational commencement. If this is not complied with services can
be suspended or cancelled.
I/we understand
that while BAT pilots will be conducting risky operations for our
benefit, it is up to the crews to maintain safe conduct for their own
safety. Under no circumstances do we have the authority to demand
flights in conditions where the crews of weather modification aircraft
can not safely perform their duties.
This purchase
is conducted at my/our own risk and I/we accept and exempt BAT from any
possible legal actions or other negative actions. I/we fully accept BAT
will have full control of its operations and processes, and that I/we
can only request operations and make suggestions to enhance services.
I/we accept BAT
will endeavour to provide the product as described as best as humanly
capable using the capital submitted here in any way it sees fit to make
this possible.
I/we accept
other terms as follows and any other that BAT deems necessary in future.
