Briggs Aerospace
Technologies aircraft passengers will be provided with a number
of common features to enhance the quality of ride comfort and
enjoyment to passengers.
Flying Phobias
Fear of flying is prevalent
in today’s society despite the incredible safety of present
flights that continues to improve. Both Breecuda and the
Neecenow have shorter flight times, exposing passengers to
anxiety for proportionately less time. This reduces the amount
of stress a passenger endures leaving the person in
substantially better physical and mental condition after the
flight.
All Briggs Aerospace
Technologies aircraft - Neecenow, Breecuda and Shaeneen - will
carry items to distract passengers fro their anxiety, actively
reducing and in some cases eliminating flying related fears and
stress. BAT's main innovation is deception technology
allowing passengers to optionally access background pictures on
entertainment screens to visually and audibly suggest they are
on a train or in a car, whivever people are most comfortable
with.
The fact these aircraft are
all, as standard, sold windowless will reduce the realisation
passengers are leaving the ground. The passengers will instead
have greater control as to whether they can see outside or not.
People still struggle with the aspect of flying above the
ground, coupling any fears of accidents while flying with the
instinctive fear of heights. The interior design is created to
reduce agoraphobic tendencies, a potential facet of windowless
fuselages. Many buses these days often feature advertisements
that totally obscure external vision, making windowless
airliners comparable with present transport evolution.
Portable Television Eyewear is basically
a set of eyeglasses with very small, high definition televisions
in place of lenses, and audio ear plugs coming of the temple.
Standard Briggs Aerospace Technologies aircraft will be
windowless, aside from windows on safety doors and cockpit
windows permitting an easier illusion, with design features to
reduce and prevent agoraphobia: windowed airliners will be an
optioned extra. These entertainment systems will replace
standard LCD televisions aboard airliners within a decade and
give passengers the luxury of having their own equivalent of a
44 inch television screen, equipped with an expanded range of
entertainment features of those currently used today.
They will be certified for use
with emergency-oxygen equipment.
Advantages of this style of entertainment
unit over present personal entertainment units to airlines are
the reduced cost, reduced power consumption and lower
maintenance through speed of replacement and warranty: instead
of earplugs and televisions being serviced, only the portable
television eyewear would be serviced for the set number of
passengers.
Portable television eyewear will
substantially benefit the people with flying based anxieties due
to the surround aspects of Portable Television Eyewear covering
much of the wearers peripheral view; the ear plugs head sets
being full stereo it will be possible to block out much of the
anxiety through both distractive and mental focusing means. The
passenger is distracted by his or her phobia while focusing onto
something positive: it is the persons thought system that
produces the emotion and anxiety. By changing these thoughts the
stress is significantly reduced, as the peripheral vision is
acting in a similar way to the subconscious mind and its action
- where thoughts are working but not thought of - much like how
we drive vehicles often without much conscious thought.
The exterior vision innovation, of either
a car, train or even a boat is possible using picture in picture
modes, and expanded to work with head movements orientating the
viewers head movements to look ahead, out the side, up and down.
This technology will be able to integrate detection equipment so
passengers know air hostesses and stewards wish to get their
attention. These headsets will also feature active noise
attenuation, or noise cancellation to enhance passenger comfort.
A feature of these personal
television entertainment systems will be a faint line through
the centre of the picture, much like the one television networks
use to advertise their channel. This technology already exists
in I-phones. This line will depict the horizon of the aircraft,
and help passengers overcome any effects of disorientation or
nausea in turbulent conditions. In smooth air, during level
flight and emergency situations this function will disappear.
Breecuda is likely to use
projected images, larger LCD televisions or forthcoming
wallpaper technology permitting television style pictures on any
surface for in flight entertainment. This style is more suitable
for flights of short duration. The short flights by Breecuda
means much of the projected featured information will be station
notices, ETA information, selected advertising, and safety
messages.
Since Breecuda is windowless
passengers may watch a standard entertainment feature, or,
particularly for the longer flights projected bring their own
Portable Television Eyewear units for more personalised
entertainment features. These may be the passengers own or
rented units from stations; advertising and rental revenues
assisting profits of transport operators.
Blue light technology
The circadian rhythm has a large
effect upon the human physiological performance. When we work in
unusual hours we feel less energetic and motivated due to
interrupted sleep cycles. The latest studies suggest sunlight
can significantly enhance personal performance in both assisting
in persons levels of alertness and wakefulness.
Briggs Aerospace Technologies
aircraft, particularly the Breecuda, will feature the use of
blue light technology to assist workers physiological
performance within the passenger’s television eyewear. The
passenger simply selects the relevant mode to encompass the
desired goal which will turn the blue-light on or off. The
personal television eyewear are configured to be this way as
there will be a certain amount of passengers, and in particular,
commuters aboard Breecuda commuter aircraft, who will be going
home while others are going into work.
Switching on the blue-light
simulates the morning light, rousing the passenger into a more
wakeful and alert state. This alleviates the effects of fatigue
by stimulating the brain into the correct circadian cycle. The
units may even be used to assist shift workers adjust to being
in a higher state of wakefulness upon getting to work, promoting
an environment reduces mistakes, accidents and incident rates.
Productivity may be also noticeably enhanced.
Artificial time-zones
Although BAT airliners enjoy
much faster than present journey times, to assist passenger
recuperation times from Jetlag, all BAT airliners will feature
time-zone relevant lighting.
The destinations time will be
reflected in the light will be reflected in the cabin lighting,
rather than the present time at the departure airport. This
feature will help reduce the amount of disorientation
experienced at airports and help alleviate jetlag: passengers
may begin adjusting to their destinations time-zone earlier.
The life support system will
adjust the cabin pressure and temperature to the destination
airports pressure and temperature throughout the flight so
passengers can be best prepared for their exit.
Airport information
feature in entertainment systems
The airline industry is set up
for passengers whom are very proficient at flying, new
travellers can find navigating around busy, crowded airports
intimidating and overwhelming.
Briggs Aerospace Technologies
airliners will feature a virtual video of the destination
airport for those who are nervous of what to expect upon
arrival. The passengers will be able to view a person from
several views, including full virtual so it is as if they are
walking through the terminal, through all phases of the
disembarkation process, from customs to getting a train or taxi.
A feature will also help people get from the airport to the most
popular hotels and arrival points. This will breed a new
confidence in all tourism and ensure people have more specific
information.
